Today was creating and strategizing my TikTok, and I'll admit. I have been focusing on TikTok a lot a bit too much than I should these past few days. With that being said, it's been good trying to fully grasp how everything works, we're getting there with daily content.
Moving forward I need to time block this, and set only 1 hour and that's it. Let's see how that goes.
Picked up a book that arrived at my local book store this afternoon called "Show your work" by Austin Kleon. I'm usually the kind of person that listens to audio books but for this, it's a quick read and the points that were mentioned from a book summary I listened to inspired me to buy the physical book.
It talks about how - if you hate promoting your work, show your work instead. The book gives you 10 ways to share your creativity and get discovered. The first one point is you don't have to be a genius.
There is a lot of creators out there that think that in order to be successful you need to be an expert. And there is a stigma that floats around where it hinders them to move forward and reach their full potential. Instead of thinking what others can do for us, and start asking what we can do for others. From amateurs to experts, everyone has the ability to contribute something.
Quote of the day: Push yourself because no one else is going to do it for you.
